About Us

We are proud to bring you this site and hope that it helps you in your search for healthy, effective products. We started this site because we needed it, and we figured others like us might need it too. Between the two of us, we have three small children, so the toxicity of conventional products is too scary to justify using them, no matter how well they work. But, again, we have three small children, so whatever we use, it had better work (and fast)!

Examine Green is a family-owned operation. We are sisters, and our (pro bono) web developer is our kind and generous uncle! To say that we are new to environmentally conscious living would be a disservice to our mother, the vegetarian hippie, and our father, the homesteader. But even those of us who grew up walking the wood-planked floors of local co-ops get overwhelmed by the recent surge of new, "green" products out there. Are they effective? Are they safe? Are they worth the extra cost?

When we couldn't find the resource we were looking for, we decided to create our own.
